Dreaming Again

What can I dream up for 2007? What do I most want to get accomplished? Who am I and where am I going. Lots of of the same questions from last year and the year before. I would like 2007 to be the year that I transition out of street performing back into Club, Corporate and Entrepreneurial Work.

From a mental, physical, and emotional standpoint, I'm ready to start dreaming again. Boy, it's been a long time. I guess Seattle Magic was my last great brainstorm. Actually packing up and moving to LA to revive my career and be with the woman I love, was the best idea in a long time.

One of my New Years Resolutions was to be done with the brow beating and self loathing I've been doing with regard to my divorce (4 years ago) and issues with my kids that are what they are. So I will fill my heart with love, continue to keep a smile on my face and prepare to work harder than I ever have before to make good.

The biggest difference these days is Polly. She just went back to work after having a 3 week break for the holidays. Although I worked, we spent A LOT of time together. . . it was great. Nothing like love to bring back a wilted flower.

What are the dreams for 2007? The one man show, I've had in the back of my head is a good start. Prospecting some nightclubs and making some sales calls is certainly on the menu. Seeking representation and working on some new promo all exciting bullets on the agenda. I even have delusions of writing and selling a screen play. There is a neat club at the a City Walk called "The Rumba Room", wouldn't mind pitching them a magic, dance and musical revue show.

Anything is possible. I live in the city of dreams. The nice part of my life is that while all the pieces of the puzzle are fitting together, I just continue to do what I'm doing to make ends meet. I was thinking that after finding a small theater to perform the one man show in, that my street performing would be a great way to get the word out and HYPE the show. Nothing better than a demonstration, that's what I say.

Today it will hit 84 degrees. Another day in paradise blue skies and sunny. Will probably watch the sunset in Santa Monica them work the Promenade.
