In my "In Box"

CityWalk Street Performers,

Universal Studios Hollywood & Universal CityWalk is committed to delivering world class entertainment to our guests each day. You all were selected to be a part of this premiere entertainment destination because of your incredible talents and your positive interaction with the guests. We need to take the guest experience a step further by revisiting your set up area. CityWalk has spent millions of dollars on its architecture and the aesthetics are such an important part of who we are. That being said, I will be looking at each of your performance areas, listening to the audio, taking photos and will be giving you notes on how best to present your talents/set up/audio etc.

I will follow it up with a conversation with each of you.

Thank you all in advance for your support.

Might have some merit...
If you can tke the "constructive critism" in the right frame of mind.
Or it might be just more of the same-O same-O, where they want to control you a little more. Since "they" want to pick and choose who get's to work their illustrious city walk, and want to "help" you improve for their benefit, perhaps they should pay you something?

Timmy Jimmy has a good point that they are offering all of the acts constructive feedback (which can be hard to hear sometimes) - something many do not do. As performers - especially magicians - we have to carry the load of writer, director, performer, sound tech, etc. all ourselves. Another set of eyes could be a blessing...

Sounds annoying to me. That line that says, "giving you notes on how to best present your act" is pretty presumptively written. Why can't they at least be polite? I'm enjoying your more frequent postings, and wishing I was down there so I could hit the gym with you and Aaron in the mornings. All the best.

Uhhm, maybe if they want to evaluate your act they need to offer some base pay? For Christ's Sake, they're getting your services for free, and your audience gets to decide whether or not to pay you. Whether or not it's honest feedback, or Corporate feedback, who knows?
